Job Objectives and Summary:
Premier Power Maintenance defines its services in six primary areas: Safety Training, Engineering, Installation, Commissioning, Preventative Maintenance, and Repair. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Act as an extension of the outside sales force to proactively grow sales.

• Electrical project estimation/quotation.

• Handle multiple customer inquiries simultaneously, process estimates/proposals and resolve customer issues promptly using root-cause analysis.

• Secure market level pricing feedback from customers to provide timely estimates and/or proposals.

• Coordinate with Sales Team and customer on pricing, PO receipt/processing.

• Provide solutions to customer problems, and manage accounts.

• Work with Operations to coordinate timely project execution.

• Actively participate on company growth initiatives.

• Participate in bi-weekly meetings with Director of Business Development and Sales Manager to discuss any potential or existing issues as well as opportunities for improvement.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
• Electrical equipment knowledge 480V through 500kV, including but not limited to: switchgear sections, transformers, breakers (SF6, oil, vacuum, air), reclosers, and regulators.

• Experience in electrical project management, including the ability to layout projects, perform one-line takeoffs, and generate value engineering proposals for switchgear projects.

• Demonstrate knowledge of electrical distribution or other electrical sales environments.

• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate on all levels within internal and external groups.

Circuit Breaker Technician

Job Purpose:
Maintain industrial customer’s circuit breakers in an industrial setting.

Job Responsibilities and Expectations:
• Retrofit, rebuild, inspect, repair and maintain low, medium, and high voltage circuit breakers 

• Assures reliability by proper maintenance and testing according to NETA specifications.

•Testing to include insulation resistance, contact resistance, HiPot, primary injection, secondary injection, and time/travel analysis

• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with codes and legal regulations.

• Keeps equipment operational by following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures; and providing repair service.

Skills/Qualifications:
• High School diploma

• 3+ years experience in testing maintenance and repair of 480 volt or greater circuit breakers.

• Must be willing to travel, work overtime including weekends and holidays

• Quality Focus

• Basic knowledge of power systems

• Understanding of electrical and mechanical testing procedures

• Must have extensive knowledge and be able to perform a majority of the following tasks:

        * Transformer testing – Power Factor, TTR, Insulation resistance, SFRA, winding resistance and
          leakage reactance

        * Cable testing – Insulation resistance, Tan Delta, VLF, Hipot, TDR and cable thumper

        * Low, medium and high voltage circuit breaker testing – Insulation resistance, contact resistance,

• Must have project supervisory experience and be able to support management in the planning, scheduling, execution and cost management of field projects

Knowledge and Skills:
• Ability to follow company and OSHA safety rules and practices

• Ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical problems

• Must have strong PC skills including Doble DTAF, PowerDB, email, internet, data entry, and Microsoft Office

Work Environment:
• Must be willing and able to work regular overtime, including nights, weekends, and some holidays

• Must be willing and able to travel on overnight, multi-day, out-of-town jobs

• Must be willing to rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner

• Must be willing to relocate to within at least a 1 hour drive from a Premier Power Maintenance office

• Must be able to lift and maneuver at least 50 lbs

Education and Work Experience:
• Requires a High School Diploma or GED, Bachelors or Associates Degree in Electrical/Electronic technology, or Military experience is preferred but not required

• Requires at least 3 years’ experience in electrical substation testing, construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, assembly and commissioning

• NETA certified a plus, but not required

• Must be willing to take calls and give technical advice outside of the normal workday

• Will be trained as needed to supervise projects and be able to support management in the planning, scheduling, execution and cost management of field projects
